Winter Basketball

Rec League

Our Winter Basketball program is offered to athletes in grades 3-6. The fee is $75 and is used to cover jerseys, referees, league dues, basketballs, the end of year party, and other various expenses.

We participate in the Western Ohio Youth Basketball League (WOYBL) with other area schools. The league has two divisions: a 3rd & 4th grade division and a 5th and 6th grade division. There are also separate leagues for males and females. This is a Recreation (Rec) League, meaning that there are rules mandating minimum playing times, equal dispersion of talent amongst our teams, and other rules to ensure winning doesn't take precedence over each kid being able to play. The season runs for approximately 4 months, starting at the beginning of November and concluding in late February. Each team plays six (8) Saturday games, with the games generally being between 9:00 and 2:00. There is a league tournament after the season for all teams as well. Our teams will either practice on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays. The practice schedule for each specific team will largely depend on the availability of each coach.

Varsity Ball Boy and Ball Girl Sign-Ups

This season, we are continuing our ball boy and ball girl programs that will give everyone in the 3rd-6th grade basketball program the opportunity to be a ball boy or girl for a high school VARSITY home game this season. These spots will fill on a first come first serve basis, and everyone will be LIMITED TO ONE GAME unless more spots are needed.
